The Undercoat Rake is a grooming tool designed to remove loose undercoat hair, mats, and tangles from dogs with double coats or thick fur. It consists of two rows of rounded, metal teeth spaced apart to gently glide through the topcoat and effectively reach the dense undercoat.
Preparation: Ensure your dog is calm and comfortable before grooming.
Gentle Strokes: Start from the head or neck and work your way down the body, using gentle strokes.
Focus Areas: Pay attention to areas where the undercoat is thickest, such as behind the ears, chest, and tail.
Regular Use: Use regularly, especially during shedding seasons, to maintain coat health and reduce shedding.
Sensitive Areas: Be cautious around sensitive areas like the belly and groin.
Avoid Force: Avoid applying too much pressure to prevent discomfort or skin irritation.
Cleanliness: Clean the rake regularly to remove trapped hair and debris.
