Meet Sofia- Helping Dogs Learn and Grow

Hi there, my name is Sofia. I joined the ABT team in July 2025. You’ll most likely find me in daycare, playing with your pups!

From a very young age, I’ve had a passion for animals and a strong interest in understanding how behaviour influences their wellbeing. Growing up with both family pets and rescue dogs, I’ve always felt a deep connection with animals especially dogs, so it was only natural that I’d pursue a career in this field.

I’ve completed a Certificate II in Animal Care and am currently studying a Bachelor of Animal Behavioural Science, to deepen my knowledge and apply it to support animal welfare.

Working at ABT is truly a dream job. I get to immerse myself in what I love most getting to know each dog’s unique personality and traits. On top of that, I’m lucky to work with such a lovely team who share the same passion for animal care and support, especially when it comes to our four-legged friends.

Outside of ABT, I have my fur baby, Piccolo a tiny chihuahua who was the runt of his litter and lives up to his name! He’s a little pocket rocket who brings me so much joy and is always up for cuddles. While Piccolo gets all my love at home, your pups receive just as much love and care from me at ABT!
