Our Adventure Class is the pinnacle of dog training, focusing on refining and perfecting the skills your dog has already learned in previous training levels. This course is designed to ensure your dog can reliably respond to you, not only at home but also in the community. By the end of this course, you’ll have a dog whose behaviour you can be proud of, no matter where you go.

What You’ll Achieve in Adventure Class

The goal of this training course is to enhance your dog’s skills challenging and distracting environments; for puppies there is a strong focus on socialisation and adaptation, the behavioural dogs will focus on tackling those challenges in real world scenarios, beginners taking their obedience to the real world and level 4 is advanced skill training in the real world. Throughout the course, we focus on several key areas:

1. Distractions: Ensuring your dog remains focused and responsive even when surrounded by unfamiliar stimuli such as people, other dogs, bicycles, and traffic.
2. Distance: Training your dog to respond to commands even when they are further away from you.
3. Duration: Building your dog’s ability to maintain behaviours, like staying in position, for longer periods.
4. Response Time: Encouraging faster and more reliable responses to your cues.
5. Reward Independence: Teaching your dog to listen and obey without needing constant treats or rewards as motivation.

Training in a Variety of Real-Life Settings

Unlike traditional classes held in a controlled environment, our Adventure Class takes your dog’s training into the real world. Each week, we meet at a new location, giving your dog the opportunity to adapt their skills to different environments. These locations include:

• National Parks: Practicing recall, leash walking, and calm behaviour around wildlife.
• Beaches: Working on obedience while navigating the excitement of sand, waves, and other beachgoers.
• Dog-Friendly Cafe’s: Teaching polite manners in social settings where your dog learns to relax and remain calm around people and other dogs.
• Public Areas: Reinforcing obedience around bustling crowds, traffic, and other urban distractions.
